      Hi
I have been working through the Thumb Independence; Fingerpicking Exercises in G; as well as Canned Heat and Porch Pickin' here on the site and am ready to move on.

What are the next simple tunes / arrangements to tackle now that I have mastered these basics? I've heard that Chet's Freight Train may be a good start, but I thought I'd take advice first.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

        Hi there!
Happy to see that you've worked through those lessons! Yes, Freight Train is a good song to try out after this! On our site, I'd suggest you try either of these four lessons next:
"I'll See You In My Dreams* lesson
        "Salty Dog Rag" lesson
        "The Wellerman" lesson
        "Folsom Prison Blues" lesson

Have fun! And let us know if you have any other questions!
        Kind regards/Emil
