    • My Cover of Mia&Seb's Theme using harmoics

      Hi, Emil

This is my harmonic usage in the song "Mia & Sebastian's Theme" in movie La La Land, which I liked for many years!

      https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV13Y4y1G7M6

Very glad that I can press the #Cm9 chord finally! with the magic index finger to press the 5,6 , pinky to press 1,2,3 simultaneously

I use the Example 28 in the final section of this song, like floating in the universe in the movie part.

However, I had many problems with this "slow simple song", I can always lose the tempo somehow, even though I thought I practiced a lot with the metronome.

And also, I cannot make good groovy of this song, make it more like a song instead of a practice session.

Maybe I need practice more? Or maybe I should listen to the metronome when I record, for better groovy and steady tempo?

Hope I can get the reply for my confusion and sorry for my poor English grammar.

      Thanks a lot!

I practice this harp harmonic for a long time, but still cannot make it 100% right, and the AMaj7/#C is so hard for me to press right.

anyway I record a version of mine, feel good about it!

glad to hear your suggestions for better performance, Thks emil!

    • Can we get the audio of the lesson

      Hi, Emil

Because of the network restrict here, It's not convenient for me to see the video of this proguitar site (vimeo and vimeocdn is restricted by the Great Firewall)

From the YouTube,I can only see 1min performance with the introduction of the lesson.

For me, It is better to hear the origin performance audio many times before i really could practice the song very well

So can you provide the whole performance audio(only performance, not include the lesson part) somewhere?

      Thanks and best regards!

    • How should I make the pull off cleaner?

      Hi Emil

Great one for this Fast Licks!

And here I had one little problem when I practice.

when I pull off I use my middle finger, Like the example below, I will do pull off at the B string from fret 5 to 3

      E -----------------------------
      B -------3--5----------------
      G -----------------------------
      D -----------------------------
      A -----------------------------
      E -----------------------------

      and I always touch the E string and have slightly noise of E sound, cannot make it clean;

I searched for some answers for this problem, here are:

      • mute the E string using the index finger
      • gently touch the E string and mute E string use the pull-off finger when doing the pull-off stuff
      • neither, practice a lot and always pay attention try not to touch neither of string and never mute any string unless you want to.

I got confused about these three solutions and maybe you have better ideas?

Thks! much appreciate that if you can reply and have a great day!
