      @emilernebro

      Like @pehlmanr I am also wondering what the best right-hand technique approach might be.

      I'm currently rethinking my own approach as I'm trying to play your version of "Autumn Leaves". I am wondering how you did the first run on 0:19?

      Did you straight-pick it all, or did you do hammer-ons and pull-offs?

      I would really appreciate some guidance about this.

      Thank you. Huge fan here from Germany.

      Fenomenalt! Tack!

      Hmm intressant, ej tänkt på det tidigare men nu när du säger det så, ja, faktiskt =).
      Spännande när man identifierar sådana där likheter mellan ändock ganska olika låtar.
      Fick faktiskt en uppenbarelse av samma slag idag när jag spelade Tommy Emmanuels "Drivetime"... att refrängen i den låten påminner väldigt mycket om Joni Mitchell's "All I Want", när hon sjunger "I am on a lonley road and I am travelling". Vad tror du? ;) Kanske inte.

      Har änsålänge möglig kvalitet på inspelningsmöjligheterna (mobil eller skrammel-ljud via dator mic) men när jag ordnat det ska respondera på din uppmuntran till oss fölket här på pro-guitar och posta en video.

      Har för övrigt till julen lärt mig dina arrangements av Jingle Bells och Deck the halls. Riktigt roliga att spela! Det är något med swing-feelet som du blandar in som är förträffligt kul att spela.. svårt att inte skratta ibland när man dämmer av ett solo på en sån svängig jullåt såhär.. vet inte varför men det är jävligt roligt.

      Återigen tack. Denna sida bringar enormt mycket glädje!

      God jul!

      @Hudson_Dean Hey man! Great question! I think I can add something to this thread. I really love that Fingerstyle Guitar always is changing, and I discover new ways of playing all the time! If you look at the "Boom Chick" Chet Atkins Style, there's many players playing in this style - but there are some significant differences between say Merle Travis and Chets playing! Chet played the bass notes very articulated and usually have the same picking pattern for the right hand thumb. For instance, if he'd play a regular C chord in the open position, he'd play the A string first, then the D string, then the E string, and back to the D string. That's in 4/4. Merle on the other hand would kind of "strum" and strike several bass-notes at the same time using the thumb pick. Starting on the A string, and then kind of strum the D, G and even the B string at once, and then play the low E string and then strum those 3 strings again! Similar to Chet but still way different! :) There are so many things that I could add to this topic but for now I'll let someone else take over, and I'll be back!! :) Looking forward to reading more from you Hudson! Kind regards/Emil
